Ayr (South Beach) beach is a 3.5 kilometre long bay. It runs along the coastline from the River Ayr in the north to beyond the River Doon in the south. The beach is adjacent to the seaside town of Ayr. The sandy beach slopes gently towards the water. Its golden sands are prized by locals.
Water quality is classified as "Good" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
