Benone (Magilligan Strand) Beach

Benone is a very popular beach located near the western end of Northern Ireland’s north coast. It is contiguous with Downhill beach, having a combined length of approximately four kilometres. The bathing beach is comprised entirely of sand backing onto an extensive well established sand dune system. The beach is the focus of an expansive tourist complex with many facilities provided in the vicinity; these include a caravan park and camping facilities.

Water quality is classified as "Excellent" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
