Burntisland beach is located to the south west of Burntisland, on the northern shore of the Firth of Forth. It is a long sandy bay, approximately 2 km in length, and slopes gently towards the water. Burntisland bathing water is adjacent to Kinghorn (Pettycur) beach. The beach is popular with families due to the sandy nature of the beach and the presence of numerous rock pools.
Water quality is classified as "Good" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
