Clogga Beach is a sandy beach backing onto cliffs and coastal rock protection and leading to shallow and clear waters. The cliff face and Arklow Rock provide a habitat for nesting birds. Arklow Rock-Askintinny is a proposed Natural Heritage Area (pNHA001745).
Water quality is classified as "Excellent" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
