Five Finger Strand Beach

Donegal, Ireland

A large sandy beach on the northern side of Trawbreaga Bay. It is backed by some of the highest sand dunes in Europe and has spectacular views of the surrounding coastline and bay. Fishing, bird watching and walking are popular activities here. The beach is, however, unsafe for swimming due to strong currents and rip tides. There is no car park but there are some places to park along the lane that leads down to the beach.
