A vast expanse of sand revealed at low tide. It is backed by sand dunes, behind which is Goswick Golf Club. The beach's shallow profile means the tide comes in very quickly, so caution should be taken when walking too far out. Situated to the south is Lindisfarne (Holy Island), an island accessible at low tide via a causeway.
