Ilfracombe Wildersmouth is a small cove at Ilfracombe on the north coast of Devon. It is a sand and shingle beach resort, approximately 160 metres wide close to the town centre. The East and West Wilder Brooks meet in the town to form the Wilder Brook. The Wilder Brook flows across the beach to the sea from a tunnel on the west side. Permanent advice against bathing is in place at Ilfracombe Wildersmouth. Ilfracombe Wildersmouth is no longer designated as a bathing water under the Bathing Water Regulations. Water quality is affected by pollution from run off from agricultural land and urban areas and by occasional discharges from a storm overflow.
