Littlehaven Beach is a gently sloping resort beach within the mouth of the River Tyne. The designated bathing beach measures approximately 600 meters.

Water quality is classified as "Poor" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024. Swimming is not advised.
