Machrie Beach is a long sand and rocky shoreline on the west coast of the Isle of Arran. It overlooks the Kilbrannan Sound with views across to the Kintyre Peninsula. The area is known for its prehistoric sites, including the Machrie Moor Stones, a group of ancient standing-stones dating back up to 4500 years ago.
