Excellent annual water quality rating

Measuring approximately 165 metres in length, this beach is sandy with a pebble bank above the high tide mark. It faces south east into the Atlantic, sheltered by the limestone cliffs and over looked by the 12th century, Manorbier Castle. A spring-fed stream flows onto the middle of the beach, where it meets the sea. This beach can be quite popular with surfers due to a reef just offshore. The coastal waters and coastal belt is designated as the Pembrokeshire Marine Special Area of Conservation, confirming the high conservation status of the area. The beach also lies within Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The water quality sample point is located at the centre of the beach.

Water quality is classified as "Excellent" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
