Montrose beach is located to the east of the town of Montrose in Angus. The sandy beach is about 900 metres long and slopes gently towards the water. The area is popular with families and there are various amenities in the vicinity. At high tide the water can come right up to the sea wall at East Links, completely covering this stretch of the beach.
Water quality is classified as "Excellent" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
