Portrane the Brook Beach is a gently sloping sandy beach, on the seaward side of the Portrane Peninsula. Brook beach expands north to become the Burrow beach where sandy dunes are located. There are strong currents located on the north end of the beach.
Water quality is classified as "Sufficient" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
