Prestwick beach is situated on the Ayrshire coast between Ayr and Troon. The beach runs parallel to the town of Prestwick and is adjacent to the Troon Golf Links. The 3km long beach is mainly sandy with rocky outcrops and shingle at the Southern end. The beach is popular with windsurfers and with members of adjacent sailing club.
Water quality is classified as "Good" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
