Stonehaven beach is situated adjacent to the town of Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire. Stonehaven town is fronted by a half-moon bay made up of sandy beaches and a harbour. The designated bathing water encompasses an approximately 1km stretch of this bay. The designated area is bound by the outflow of the River Carron and the harbour area jetty to the south, and rocky outcrops to the north.
Water quality is classified as "Sufficient" based on samples taken from the previous 4 years, 2021 through to 2024.
