The Naze Beach

Essex, England

The Naze is a sandy beach backed by crumbling cliffs, located just north of Walton-on-the-Naze. The remains of World War II defenses, which once stood on the cliff tops, can be seen along the shoreline. At high tide, the beach is completely covered by the sea, so visitors should plan their trip carefully to avoid getting cut off. The beach sits alongside The Naze Nature Reserve and the historic Naze Tower, an 18th-century landmark offering panoramic coastal views. Located beside the tower is a car park, a visitor center, toilets and a café.
